Progress Depends On Spirit, NE Grads Told

Diplomas to 219 Students

"The progress of the world always has depended on the spirit of man, to be on the go-the pioneer spirit,  the Rev. Dr. Edward L. Jeambey said Thursday.
.

It is a matter of how we go into the future, more than where we go in the future,  he said at Northeast High School commencement exercises.  If we

.
are going to play square with tomorrow, the Fourth Presbyterian Church pastor said,  we must build our moral muscle today.  He told the graduates
.
their destinies will be determined by their ability to make good decisions and pay attention to detail. We should proceed into the future realizing
.
that all progress takes sacrifice,  the Rev. Dr. Jeambey said."
.

Richard Jay, board of education member, presented diplomas to the 219 graduates.
